The past two weeks have been an introductory to the course expectations as well as an overview of how to use blogs throughout the semester. I have already created a blog for the Computers in Education course previous to this class but Dr. V taught me how to personalize my blog. I also accomplished how to add special features and how to follow and comment on other students blogs. I became more familiar with Google Reader which will allow me to organize and view blogs that I subscribe to.
The second day of class we did a "Star Wars" activity in which we were literally jumping through hoops. ;) Afterward we reflected on how the activity represented the environment. The main point I acquired was that we all have good ideas of ways to improve the environment and if we all work together we can accomplish anything even if we are working with a limited amount of space.
I haven’t learned much about the environment in these first two weeks but I know Dr. V will make up for that throughout the semester. Also, I have been struggling with the blog requirements for this course and really hope I get the hang of things soon. =) As for the rest of the semester, I’m looking forward to becoming a regular blogger and hope to learn more about things I can do to improve the environment.

Shar! I like your "jumping through hoops" analogy :) Hopefully, as we continue through the course the blogging requirements will become easier to understand and complete. Your a quick learner, you'll get the hang of it :)I've used Google Reader before, and it has seemed to help organize my life out to the maximum and take away a lot of "checking to see if its there" steps! Anyways, good luck on the rest of the semester!
ReplyDeleteHey Shar! I agree the blog requirements can be a little intimidating. It will get better! I think that the blogs will teach us a lot in this class since we're both Community Health majors!
